With a decade of experience as a marriage and family therapist, Heather Porter is dedicated to empowering individuals and families on their journey toward healing and growth. Holding a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, she integrates person-centered therapy with techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to provide a comprehensive therapeutic approach.

Heather specializes in addressing a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, substance use, and general life stress. She is aligned with Health at Every Size and intuitive Eating practices, offering compassionate support for those dealing with challenging relationships with food and body image. Heather believes that every client possesses inherent strength and resilience, and her role is to help them recognize and harness these qualities. A strong advocate for her clients, she fosters a supportive and empathetic environment that encourages exploration and transformative insights.

Outside of her practice, Heather enjoys crafting, trying new restaurants, exploring new hobbies, and travel, all of which enrich her understanding of the human experience and inform her therapeutic approach.
